Achieving Rust Effects<\/a> with HYDRO Materials: A Creative Approach<\/p>\n

We are going to explore the innovative method of using HYDRO materials to replicate the look of rust on surfaces, eliminating the need for metal powder. This technique allows for versatile applications on various substrates where HYDRO pigment fillers or colour lacquers can be utilized, offering a high-quality, individualized finish. Ideal for furniture, interior design, trade shows, and more.<\/p>\n

Instructions:<\/p>\n

  1. Prepare the substrate by sanding appropriately (180-240 grit sandpaper).<\/li>\n
  2. Dye the HYDRO pigment filler with HYDRO colour concentrate “Basis” HF 21418 or other HFM colour concentrates to achieve the desired hue (15% for 1C pigment fillers, 20% for 2C pigment fillers).<\/li>\n
  3. Thoroughly mix the colour concentrate with the filler and add 2% of HYDRO Filler additive HZ 74, ensuring uniform blending.<\/li>\n
  4. For 2C pigment fillers, incorporate the hardener thoroughly.<\/li>\n
  5. Apply 150-250 g\/m2 of the modified pigment filler onto the surface using a lacquer roller to enhance the desired rust effect.<\/li>\n
  6. Allow drying for at least 16 hours (up to 48 hours at 20\u00b0C room temperature) without the need for lacquer sanding.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
